We are constantly gathering data from our live online survey completed by First Responders. This ongoing survey keeps First Responders' priorities in the forefront of our work so that we may assist in "Filling in the Gaps".
The TOP 10 Needs list gives us real-time insight into the gaps identified by these dedicated men and women. Each county and each station is different. We never assume that the needs at one station or county are the same as the needs at another. As our organization grows we hope to be able to provide as many of these items as time and contributions allow.
The current Top 10 Needs or Gaps include:
Mental health and wellness
Comfort supplies (beds, mattresses, seating, furniture)
Exercise equipment
Training and educational resources
Communications equipment
Training props for simulations
Community outreach and awareness
Chaplain services and chaplain trainings
Sponsorship for conferences
Power generators
Appliances and supplies for station kitchens
Serve Strong: Corban Scott Goad Memorial Foundation supports First Responders by addressing unmet needs that federal, state, or local funding often do not cover. For a variety of reasons, many funding sources come with restrictions, limiting the ability to purchase essential items. Serve Strong steps in to provide first responder stations and teams with resources that might otherwise be out of reach.
Recognizing that first responders spend significant time at their stations, Serve Strong focuses on ensuring they are well-rested, physically fit, mentally strong, and equipped with the tools they need to save lives and serve their communities effectively.
