18 & Up, HALF COURT, DOUBLE ELIMINATION
This tournament is for ages 18+
Double Elimination (each team is guaranteed two games).
Games will be played using half court.
Games will be 15 minutes long or first team to 11 points.
A coin toss will determine which team gets the ball to start.
Teams must take the ball back after each change of possession.
The ball will change possession after each made basket and after free throw attempts. There is no
“make it, take it” rule.
The ball must be checked by an opposing player before it is put into play.
Each basket is worth one point; foul shots are worth 1 point. “Three-point” shots will be worth 2
points. The official size ball will be used for the tournament.
Dunking is not allowed.
At game time, if the team is missing one player a 5 minutes grace period will be allotted for them to
find an alternate player (which must be approved by the supervisor).
Player Changes: If a player is injured or cannot attend a game during the tournament a replacement
player must be approved by the supervisor.
Teams MUST START THE GAME WITH THREE PLAYERS but may finish with two (less than two is a
forfeit).

Technical Fouls: unsportsmanlike acts such as taunting, baiting or trash talk. Aggressive physical play
will not be tolerated and will result in ejection from the tournament (two shot penalty).
No overtime will be played.

Event Details
• Date: Saturday, January 4, 2025
• Time: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Check-in starts at 11:30 AM)
• Location: Pine Eden Church Gym
Check-in Information
• Arrival Time: Please do your best to check in between 11:30-Noon to ensure your team is properly checked in.
• Team Captains: Check-in at the registration table to receive the tournament schedule and instructions.
• Bracket: A tournament bracket will be posted at the gym on the day of the event.
Additional Details
• Photos: All teams will take a photo with the Serve Strong Foundation logo during the event.
• Prizes: The winning team will receive a $200 cash prize and free shirts.
• Concessions: Pizza, water, and drinks will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the Foundation.
About the Cause
All proceeds from this tournament will go to Serve Strong: The Corban Scott Goad Memorial Foundation to support first responders, especially those serving rural communities in the Upper Cumberland.
